I earned my Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, in 2009 and have been a licensed veterinarian in Ontario since 2010. My passion for veterinary medicine comes from the special bond between people and their animals and the opportunity to support that relationship throughout every stage of a pet’s life.
What I enjoy most about veterinary medicine is that every family and every pet is different. I love getting to know families, learning about their individual needs and experiences, and watching how pets and their relationships with their families evolve over time. Whether I’m caring for a small companion or a much larger pet, I enjoy finding the right approach for each family and making every visit a meaningful one.
Although I don’t currently have any pets, I’ve shared my life with some very memorable ones. My Basset Hound, Buster, passed away in 2024 after living with Addison’s disease and a cardiac condition. During the pandemic, he became an unofficial morale booster at Front Street, making sure no one ate lunch alone and somehow always knowing when it was lunchtime. He even attempted an internship at the hospital, which he did not pass, but he was proudly awarded the role of morale booster instead. My orange domestic short-hair cat, Willie, passed away in 2023 after being a much-loved geriatric patient at Front Street. Both Buster and Willie taught our team a great deal about caring for pets with chronic conditions and the importance of ongoing follow-up. They also left me with a particular soft spot for Shih Tzus, Corgis, Beagles, and, of course, Bassets. They may not always be the easiest to work with, but they are certainly some of the most fun!
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, baking, and keeping up with the latest royal gossip. I greatly value honesty and authenticity in the people around me.
