What kinds of worms are most common in pets?

The most common worms in pets include tapeworms, heartworms, whipworms, hookworms, ringworms, and more.

How does a dewormer work?

Depending on the kind of worm and the medication, worms are either paralyzed and killed or broken down and removed from the system through excretion. The dewormer usually takes anywhere from 2 to 6 hours from administration and will attack the worms so they can no longer attach themselves to the pet’s internal organs.

I have an indoor pet. Do they still need deworming?

Yes, we recommend that indoor pets also be dewormed. They may be dewormed less frequently as their exposure to risks is low.
